If you’re looking for auction fundraising ideas, British Sports Museum Charity & Fundraising can provide your organisation with hand signed sporting memorabilia on a ‘no risk’ consignment basis. What does this mean?

British Sports Museum Charity & Fundraising offers unique fundraising auction ideas at no risk to your organisation. British Sports Museum provides authentic sports memorabilia for your silent auction, live auction or raffle; if the item(s) do not sell simply send the item(s) back to us at our expense.

Our professional silent and main auction service helps you maximise the fundraising potential of your event, at no cost to you.

  • No Staff are required to run the Silent Auction as we will provide all of the arrangements including: all staff,  preparation, display and removal of items, credit card  payments  and delivery to the winners (should they require it.)

  • Silent Auctions help the event raise extra money over and above what would normally have been raised on the day, without any extra effort on the organisers’ part.

  • Silent Auctions do not distract people from taking part in a raffle or any other appeal at the dinner.

  • Your organisation will receive 100 percent of the monies raised above the reserve price and all reserve prices are around 50 to 60 percent below the estimated auction or retail value.

  • Guests can bid in private without feeling on show, or that they are being tapped up over and over again. Those bidding tend to do so because they want to own a quality collector's item whilst contributing to the overall success of the night.

I want to arrange a silent auction, should I go for bid sheets, colour brochures or iPad bidding?

This very much depends on the type of fundraiser that you are running. Drop us a line and we can help you select the best option to maximise your income.

We have some donated items, but not enough to raise the funds that we need. If we want a silent auction, can we still auction our donated items?

Absolutely, we always suggest that you put the donated items into the Live Auction, however, if you have more than 4 or 5 items the live auction can take some time and often you will find that you will lose the room after too long. If you have more than 5 donated items we are happy to put up to 6 donated items into the silent auction free of charge.

Will the silent auction interfere with the timeline of the event?

No, the auction will run independently from the main event and our staff will notify the winners at the end of the evening.

How long does it take to receive the funds following the event?

So long as all of the winners pay on the night, we will transfer the funds to your account within four working days.

Are there any charges or costs to us?

No, we only charge the wholesale price of the items that are sold so everything bid above this rice you get to keep. The only deduction made to the funds raised on the evening is a 3% credit card processing fee.
